HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- Dan Brown's bestseller, The Da Vinci Code, is on stage at the Alley Theater! Michael Locher is the director of design and served as the scenic designer for the production. He joined Eyewitness News live on Tuesday morning.

Locher said when the theatre leaders first got the script, they were a bit intimidated at the idea of bringing such an intricate, well-known, and grandiose play to the Alley. Then, they decided it would be well worth it to take on the challenge.

The production uses cutting-edge scenic design, projections, sound, and lighting to capture iconic locations like the Louvre and cathedrals. The Alley also makes almost everything including costumes and sets in-house with over 100 people working on a given production.
