Police have charged a Sudbury man with impaired driving after his vehicle was seen moving erratically on a local highway.

Sudbury OPP said members responded Saturday around 9:40 p.m. to a report from a concerned citizen regarding the vehicle, which was observed within city limits on Highway 17.

“The vehicle was travelling at various speeds and swerving toward the ditch,” the OPP said in a release. “Police located the vehicle, arrested the driver for impaired driving, and then transported the driver to the OPP detachment for further testing.

Chris Massicotte, 38, was charged with impaired operation over 80 mgs.

He was released and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Sudbury on Oct. 22.
