A new Quinnipiac University poll found a clear winner in a hypothetical 2028 presidential matchup between Vice President JD Vance and Pennsylvania Gov. Josh Shapiro (D) in a key battleground state.
Although both lawmakers have yet to announce their future political plans, Shapiro would currently lead Vance by 53% to 43% in a potential race in Pennsylvania, according to the poll , which was released Wednesday. Democrats in the state by a 97% to 1% margin said they would vote for Shapiro, while Republicans by a 89% to 10% margin said they would cast their ballot for Vance.
Meanwhile, the majority of independents — 58% — said they would pick Shapiro, the poll revealed. Thirty-three percent said they would choose Vance.
