Former NFL linebacker Emmanuel Acho compared Shedeur Sanders’ situation with the Cleveland Browns to Colin Kaepernick’s alleged blackballing from the league, suggesting Sanders’ talent didn’t match his distraction level.

Appearing on his show “Speakeasy” Wednesday with former Eagles running back LeSean McCoy , Acho said Sanders, who fell to the fifth round of the 2025 NFL draft despite first-round projections, was being treated similarly to Kaepernick, who hasn’t played since 2016 after kneeling during the national anthem to protest social injustice.
