SPRINGFIELD, Mo. (KY3) - A resource for students in need of gender-affirming clothing is now back.

The Transitions Closet had originally been located at the Bear Cave on the Missouri State University campus, but it closed in January as DEI programs began to be shut down. Members of the Multicultural House, a nonprofit organization located near the campus, spent the summer collecting clothing from the Bear Cave and preparing a new space for it.

The clothes are sorted by style and size, and not by gender.

The Transition Closet is available to students from MSU, Ozarks Tech, and Drury University at no cost. It’s open Tuesday through Friday from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m., and from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Sundays. If you would like to browse the clothing privately, please contact the Multicultural House.
