Veteran Seattle Seahawks defensive end DeMarcus Lawrence is still dealing with a thigh injury that knocked him out of the team’s win last Thursday over the Arizona Cardinals.

Seahawks coach Mike Macdonald said before practice Wednesday that the Seahawks will take things “day by day” with the 33-year-old Boise State product. The good news is that Macdonald said Lawrence is not a consideration for a stint on injured reserve, which would require missing at least four games. Lawrence’s availability for Sunday’s game against Tampa Bay is yet to be determined, though.
In his first season with Seattle, the 6-foot-3, 254-pound Lawrence has 12 combined tackles and two tackles for loss.
