KERNERSVILLE, N.C. — Veterans are feeling relieved as VA benefits, hospitals, and clinics will remain available as day one of the federal government shutdown comes to a close.

Confirmed earlier today by VA Secretary Doug Collins who blames Democratic lawmakers for the impending delays due to the shutdown. However, Democrats are pointing to their Republican colleagues as the ones to blame. Stating that they want a bipartisan government spending bill that helps all Americans.
