Get those extra blankets ready. A blast of chilly air is coming to New Jersey , with temperatures expected to drop into the low 40s overnight Wednesday into early Thursday morning in some sections of the state.
The National Weather Service says frost is not expected, but it’s possible parts of northwestern New Jersey could see lows dipping into the upper 30s to around 40 degrees.
Meanwhile, a coastal flood advisory is in effect for several coastal counties Wednesday evening through Thursday morning, with northeast winds and tropical cyclone swells causing minor coastal flooding along the Atlantic shore and back bays.
