BATON ROUGE, La. (WAFB) - A man accused of raping a 4-year-old and giving her Chlamydia is facing new felony charges involving computer-aided solicitation of a minor and indecent behavior with juveniles. Both charges are felonies.
Anthony James Jelks Jr. was arrested last month and charged with that rape. He was taken into custody one day after the WAFB I-TEAM went looking for him.
Jelks is now accused of sending messages to a nine-year-old asking for sexually provocative dancing videos, an arrest warrant filed October 1, 2025, states.
The mother of the child reported the inappropriate messages to the police back when the incident happened in November 2022. Arrest documents show an online account was traced back to Jelks.
He remains locked up in jail on the more recent rape charges.
