BIRMINGHAM, Ala. ( WBRC ) - T HE NEXT 24 HOURS: We are tracking a few isolated showers to the west this evening and this activity will gradually diminish after sunset. We will have gradual clearing, with a nice improvement in temperatures; lows tonight will be in the upper 50s far northeast to the low 60s south. If you missed the Space Station flyover last night, another flyover happens at 7:56 PM CDT. Look for it to rise in the northwest sky.

You can expect breezy conditions for Thursday as another surge of drier air settles in. The wind will be east at 10 to 15 MPH, with higher gusts. This will also make for dangerous fire weather conditions, especially with lower humidity, and worsening drought. Please continue to avoid burning.
