DENVER, Colo. (KKTV) - Erik Johnson has announced his retirement from the Colorado Avalanche and the NHL after 17 seasons, the team announced on Wednesday.
The Colorado Avalanche said Johnson, 37, played 1,023 regular-season games with the Colorado Avalanche as well as with the St. Louis Blues, Buffalo Sabres and Philadelphia Flyers. The team said he was a part of 57 playoff games, including all 20 in 2022, that helped the Avalanche win the Stanley Cup.
He recorded 95 goals and 253 assists for a total of 348 points, the team said.
