Joshua Allen, the professional dancer who won the fourth season of “So You Think You Can Dance,” has died at age 36.

A family member confirmed Allen’s death to TMZ on Wednesday, stating that the dancer died Tuesday. The family requested “privacy and prayers” but declined to share the cause of death, which has not been publicly disclosed.

Allen captured the “So You Think You Can Dance” title in 2008, competing alongside Stephen “tWitch” Boss, who finished as runner-up, Parade reports. The two dancers developed a close friendship and both later returned to the show as All-Stars. Boss died by suicide in December 2022.
