DECATUR, Ill. (WAND) - Sunset earlier this evening was at 6:37 pm. Tomorrow, the sun will rise at 6:53 am. Over the course of the next 24 hours, we will lose 2 minutes and 35 seconds of available daylight. We'll continue to lose over 2 minutes of daylight every day this month with the sun setting at 5:54 pm on Halloween night. If that weren't enough, everyone's favorite "fall back" occurs the first weekend of November. Sure, it's the longest weekend of the year. However, darkness will then set in prior to 5 pm until January 19, 2026.
