The National Hurricane Center is watching an area for tropical development in the eastern Atlantic.

A tropical wave is expected to move off the coast of Africa over the next couple of days.

The wave is forecast to interact with another disturbance in the eastern tropical Atlantic, and some slow development of the combined feature is possible as the system moves westward to west-northwestward at 15 to 20 mph.

Once again, the GFS shows potential development while the EURO is quiet for the latest model runs.

The formation chance through 48 hours is 0 percent and the formation chance through 7 days is 20 percent.
