Desert Healthcare District board members expressed a desire to help the "emergency" situation regarding Blythe's at-risk-of-closing hospital, but they did not commit to serious action during their Tuesday, Sept. 30 meeting.

In fact, an ad hoc committee report states that the district "has no intention" of running a hospital, or assuming financial responsibility of Palo Verde Hospital.
