Rasmus Hojlund scored a brace for Napoli to inspire a win over Sporting CP in European action and sent a message that will sting anyone of a Manchester United persuasion.

The forward pointed to the Champions League emblem on his sleeve as he celebrated his opening goal at Napoli's Stadio Diego Armando Maradona.

The Denmark international was played in by ex-Manchester City maestro Kevin De Bruyne before offering a cool finish to hand his new team a 1-0 lead, placing the ball through the legs of Rui Silva.

Sporting came back into the game when Luis Suarez scored from the penalty spot in the second half but Hojlund was not finished.
