GRAND FORKS — Cade Littler was a 6-foot-3, 216-pound freshman forward for the UND hockey team last season.

He used that sturdy frame to his advantage, scoring seven goals and two assists while playing on the Fighting Hawks’ fourth line.

Littler hit the offseason intent on improving his skating and speed to match his impressive measurables. He arrived early to summer workouts, spending extra time on power skating and in the gym.

Ahead of his sophomore season, Littler is listed an inch taller and 11 pounds lighter than his freshman year.

“I think the gym is always going to be a big thing for me,” Littler said. “I grew pretty fast when I was younger, so just trying to catch up to your body, just trying to maximize your body or frame.”

The offseason work is showing up in tests as well.
