HOLLYWOOD -- Class is back in session at "Abbott Elementary." The hit ABC sitcom returns for its fifth season, and it sounds like the actors believe this new season is worthy of the honor roll.

"Abbott Elementary" creator, writer and star Quinta Brunson is looking forward to what's in store this season.

"I think the audience is going to have a ball. It's coming in strong. The first episode is very sweet," Brunson said.

Her co-stars agree.

"We've done probably seven table reads of the first seven episodes, and they're the seven best episodes we've ever done," Chris Perfetti, who plays Jacob Hill on the show, said. "It feels like, not a different show, but, you know, something we've never done before. So, I dare say it will be our best season yet."
