Federal tax dollars are no longer being used to fund the Corporation for Public Broadcasting. They send money to various local public broadcast stations across the country.

Public broadcasters across the state are losing more than $3 million starting Wednesday.

The CPB funded stations for two years at a time, so some, like RSU TV through Rogers State, still have another year of funding left. RSU TV is an independent public TV station, not affiliated with PBS.

Along with delivering the news, the station also acts as a learning lab for students.
