A python was discovered in the drive-thru portion of an In-N-Out restaurant in Monrovia, Ca., on Monday, and captured before it could place its order.
According to Pasadena Humane, which is caring for the exotic reptile, the python was caught by an In-N-Out employee and transported to the animal care facility.
The snake is believed to be somebody’s escaped pet, and Pasadena Humane is trying to locate the owner.
“At this time, we have not determined whether the snake is male or female,” Pasadena Humane stated via social media. “[It seems] to have been well taken care of, so it's possible [it] only recently escaped [its] home. Please spread the word so we can locate [its] guardian!”

Of course, attempts at humor fill the Facebook post’s comments section.
The top comment: “When I ordered animal fries, this is not what I meant.”
A more serious comment: “Omg I would have had a heart attack if I encountered that!”
A thoughtful observation: “Beautiful. But I so wish we would stop selling pets like: reptiles , birds, fish and rodents. Adoption should be the only option and in the long run we really shouldn’t own them, they don’t belong in cages/ tanks – in my opinion."
Pythons are not venomous but larger pythons can be dangerous because they can constrict prey (or perceived enemies) with considerable force.
