Penn State will reportedly be moving forward in 2025 without one of its best defenders.

Junior linebacker Tony Rojas will miss “significant time” with an injury, according to Blue-White Illustrated . The report continued to say his return this season appears unlikely.

Rojas was not participating in Wednesday night’s practice and now has a long-term setback.

The Virginia native had played extremely well through four games thus far with 25 tackles, 4.5 tackles for loss and two sacks.

In Saturday’s 30-24 double overtime loss to Oregon, Rojas left the game for most of a first-half series with an apparent injury. He took a hard block while blitzing.

However, Rojas returned to the game and handled a huge workload of 70 snaps.
