ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) - Fred Ivory was just told he’s going to have to move out of his northwest Atlanta apartment by Oct. 15.

“Very rushed, very unprepared,” he said about the situation.

A letter went out to residents of the Reserve at Hollywood apartment complex on Hollywood Road, saying the water damage from a storm back on Aug. 21 “materially affected the habitability of every unit in Building B.”

Pivotal Housing Partners, the property management company for the complex, cites the “force majeure” clause in the lease, which they say allows this action due to uncontrollable events like weather.
