28 of the best paddlers from across North America and Europe will be in Alabama starting this weekend.
The 650-mile journey starts at Weiss Lake in Northeast Alabama on Saturday and ends at Fort Morgan on October 14.
Racers will face whitewater, tidewater currents and traverse around nine dams in the adventure-style paddle race.
Racers will have up to ten days to finish the race and secure a first-place win in one of three divisions: male solo, female solo and two-person team.
