Identifying the young women suing Bishop Luers High School and others for failing to act on reported sexual exploitation would exacerbate the harm they’ve endured, their lawyers assert in court documents obtained Wednesday.

The lawsuit stems from allegations about systemic failure to protect female Bishop Luers students from sexual exploitation involving pornographic videos created by male students. The boys allegedly superimposed their female classmates’ names on the explicit content, portraying them as participants in sexual acts.

The complaint was filed against the Diocese of Fort Wayne-South Bend, Bishop Luers and four individuals on behalf of nine current and former students along with many of their parents.
