Kirby Park hosts one of the finest Independence Day celebrations in the region, as well as an eye-appealing Cherry Blossom Festival each spring. It is one of several locations featured annually in the venerable Riverfest.

It welcomes scores, if not hundreds, of visitors most days. Runners, walkers and cyclists may do a little loop, or just pass by during an extended outing on the levee trail. Dogs may bound about (please clean up after your pets). And children offer infectious smiles as they play on equipment set up just for them, or run across the vast expanse of trimmed grass.
