For the Konidela family, this Dasara comes with added joy as they celebrate the newest addition to their clan, the son of Varun Tej and Lavanya, born on September 10. Between performing rituals like Aayudha Pooja, enjoying festive treats she rarely resists, and gathering at her uncle Chiranjeevi ’s home, Niharika tells us why the festival remains one of the family’s most cherished occasions. ‘For us, Dasara means being together’ Family time is what makes the festival special for the Konidela household, says Niharika. “For Dasara, it’s a practice for all of us and our cousins to gather at daddy’s house (Chiranjeevi’s house). We do the pooja and eat together as a family, and just being with each other feels like the festival itself.” With most of them occupied with film schedules
