It's been three years since the Iowa Wild have had a winning season.
Enter: New head coach Greg Cronin. The Boston native was hired this offseason after being fired from the Anaheim Ducks, where he spent two seasons as head coach.
Iowa's training camp started this week, and the new coach has returning players such as Ben Jones, David Spacek and Carson Lambos.
Cronin is focused on evaluating his talent and also making practice fun.
"You start the practice with small games to get the dopamine, serotonin flowing," Cronin said. "They get a little energy coming out of that."
The season opener is against the Chicago Wolves at Casey's Center on Oct. 11 at 6 p.m.
