The 49ers will once again turn to Mac Jones .

The ex- New England Patriots quarterback is expected to be San Francisco’s starter on Thursday for its game against the Los Angeles Rams.

The 49ers ruled Brock Purdy out on Wednesday with a toe injury.

Jones has started two games for the 49ers this season in Purdy’s absence and is 2-0. The first win came against the New Orleans Saints in Week 2 when Jones went 26-of-39 for 279 yards and three touchdowns. The second came in Week 3 against the Arizona Cardinals . The veteran quarterback led the 49ers down the field on a game-winning drive in the fourth quarter.
