SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (Dakota News Now) -The Sioux Falls Stampede are on the ice again and back for another season. After taking two out of three games at the USHL Fall Classic and another game on the road in Lincoln, the Herd are excited to be back home this weekend.
Even with key pieces of last year’s team departing, head coach Ryan Cruthers says this year’s squad is building up fast.
Now in his second year, Cruthers says it’s helped to not have to start over, and have the full coaching staff return along with players that made their names last season.
Some of those guys got those opportunities due to injuries. Cruthers says while it wasn’t ideal in the moment to have to deal with, it’s helped them this year get a jump on the season.
