RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat said a government that stays away from the people and aloof from their concerns faces their wrath as he cited the recent political upheaval in Nepal to warn of anarchy in India's neighbourhood.

Delivering his Vijayadashami address at the RSS headquarters as the outfit completed 100 years of its establishment, Bhagwat emphasised that forces attempting to create such disturbances in India were active inside as well as outside the country.

"The regime change in Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, and more recently Nepal due to violent outbursts of public anger is a concern for us... When the government stays away from the people and is largely unaware of their problems and policies are not made in their interests, people turn against the government," Bhagwat said.
