The Asian Development Bank (ADB) has approved an approximately Rs 2,600 crore loan as the final tranche of loans for the Delhi-Meerut Regional Rapid Transit System (RRTS), according to a statement by ADB on Wednesday.
This fourth tranche brings the total ADB financing under the multi-tranche facility, which is being built by the National Capital Region Transport Corporation (NCRTC), approved in 2020, to around Rs 9,200 crore.
ADB financing for the project is complemented by a joint co-financing from the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank and the Japan Fund for Prosperous and Resilient Asia and the Pacific.
