From February, victim-survivors of sexual harm will have a safe and comfortable place to open up about their experiences, receive counselling and specialist police investigative services all in one place.

And it will be in the heart of the North-West.

Construction of the new $5 million North West Arch is underway in Burnie and will transform the way support is provided during people's most vulnerable moments.

Police, Fire, and Emergency Management Minister Felix Ellis said the "modern, fit for purpose" centre would provide a multidisciplinary approach where police and support services would work closely together.
