The All India Muslim Personal Law Board had called for a Bharat Bandh on October 3 to protest against the Waqf Amendment Act. The board announced the Bandh on October 1. However, the bandh has been called off, according to a statement by the Board’s General Secretary, Maulana Fazlur Rahim Mujaddidi, and spokesperson Dr. Syed Qasim Rasool Ilyas. The Bharat Bandh (Bharat Bandh) on October 3rd against the Waqf Amendment Act will no longer take place. The statement read that the Bandh was postponed due to Hindu festivals. The board will announce new dates soon.
