The York County Coroner’s Office has released additional information about the man who was shot and killed in York on Wednesday morning .

Around 8:15 a.m., York police were dispatched to the 600 block of East Princess Street for a shooting.

When officers arrived, they found a 31-year-old man with a gunshot wound and also 24-year-old Romanus Myers, who told investigators he shot the man.

Police said Myers and the victim, who knew each other, had been involved in a fight before the shooting took place.

The 31-year-old was taken to WellSpan York Hospital, where he died of his injuries around 10 a.m., the coroner’s office said.

The victim’s name and address have not been released as of Wednesday night, but his family has been notified of his death.
