The calendar has page turned to October, which means pumpkin and monster season has arrived.

Here’s a rundown of some of the area’s fun and scary seasonal attractions:

Pumpkin Town Farms/ Insanity Farms

6060 S. Garnett Road

Pumpkin Town Farms, where farm meets city, is closed on Mondays but otherwise is open daily through Nov. 2.

Pumpkin Town Farms is a family-friendly property with many entertainment options for guests, but those who prefer scares can try its haunted attraction, Insanity Farms.

Insanity Farms is recommended for ages 12-up, but younger children are welcome if accompanied by a parent. Insanity Farms is open every Friday and Saturday night in October from 7 p.m. until midnight. Admission sales end at 11 p.m.
