1 October memorial groundbreaking set for mid-2026, fundraising efforts well underway

LAS VEGAS ( FOX5 ) — The efforts to bring the One October memorial to fruition are well underway as work continues to meet fundraising goals.

The groundbreaking is set for mid-2026, according to the Vegas Strong Fund, the entity assigned by the Clark County Commission to carry out the completion of the Forever One Memorial.

The project hopes to open by October 1, 2027-- the tenth anniversary of the tragedy.

“This project, this memorial, is meant to be a permanent structure where we can go and pay tribute to the 58 lives that we lost, but it’s so much bigger than that.
