A family in San Bernardino County experienced an unimaginably frightening ordeal earlier this week when their infant child suddenly stopped breathing.
The Aug. 29 incident occurred at around 2 p.m. at home near the intersection of 13th Street and Campus Avenue in Upland.
A responding officer who was only minutes away arrived at the scene and can be seen in footage posted by the Upland Police Department taking the unresponsive child and asking family members if the baby had been choking on anything.
Frantic, the woman handing the infant over said she didn’t know and continued to plead with the officer.
