WASHINGTON – Many families in Washington have the opportunity to receive financial aid for college or career training as applications became available on Wednesday.

Both U.S. citizens and eligible non-citizens can file the FAFSA, the Free Application for Federal Student Aid.

For those who are not eligible for FAFSA or opt not to file it, the Washington Application for State Financial Aid, or WASFA, is available.

Both the FAFSA and WASFA forms opened on October 1 and are currently accessible.

Filing either application automatically enters applicants into consideration for the Washington College Grant.
