It’s game on at Burrendah Reserve in Willetton, with upgraded change rooms aiming to make football accessible to more people.
The $49,000 worth of works carried out aim to make the change rooms more welcoming, functional and inclusive.
They include new shower partitions in home, away, and umpire change rooms, more accessible facilities to replaec outdated urinals, and new toilet partitions in the away change room.
They are intended to support the growing number of players, particularly women and girls, taking part in community football.
WA Football CEO Michael Roberts said women’s and girls’ football was the fastest-growing area.
