Defence Minister Rajnath Singh celebrated Vijayadashmi by performing Shastra Puja at the Bhuj Military Station on Wednesday, using the occasion to laud the Armed Forces for their success in Operation Sindoor and to send a sharp warning to Pakistan over its activities in the Sir Creek sector.

Singh credited the joint operations of the Army, Navy and Air Force for “swiftly and effectively countering” Pakistan’s recent attempts to breach Indian defences. “From Leh to Sir Creek, Pakistan tried to penetrate our defences, but our forces exposed their weaknesses and proved India can inflict heavy damage at a time, place and manner of its choosing,” he said.
