India's premier producer of armoured platforms, Armoured Vehicles Nigam Limited (AVANI), is preparing to expand internationally and is scouting for partners across Africa, West Asia, Central Asia and Southeast Asia, according to a report by The Economic Times. The firm is aiming to market its range of armoured platforms abroad while also offering spares and maintenance support.

AVANI, which manufactures key platforms such as the indigenous Arjun Main Battle Tank, Russian-origin T-90 tanks, and BMP-2 infantry combat vehicles, has started exploring partnerships to boost exports in line with the government's push for defence indigenisation and global outreach, the report said.
