Kerala's political scene is ablaze as Leader of the Opposition VD Satheesan criticized Prime Minister Narendra Modi for releasing a commemorative postage stamp and coin to mark 100 years of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS). Satheesan blasted the move, describing it as a 'shameful' affront to India's freedom struggle, claiming the RSS played no part and instead accused it of betrayal.

Prime Minister Modi unveiled the special stamp and coin on Wednesday, celebrating the RSS's century of influence. Meanwhile, Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan likened the RSS to Zionists in Israel, asserting both propagate divisive ideologies. He also lambasted Modi's silence over U.S. policies he viewed as unfavorable to India, such as the H-1B visa fee hike under former President Donald Trump.
