These two have a history.

It’s been both terribly maddening and wonderfully memorable for Phillies fans.

The Phillies and Dodgers are about to provide another potentially gripping postseason chapter.

Los Angeles defeated the Cincinnati Reds 8-4 at Dodger Stadium Oct. 1 to sweep their best-of-three National League Wild Card Series. The Dodgers won Game 1, 10-5, on Sept. 30.

They will, therefore, be the Phillies’ opposition in the best-of-5 National League Division Series.

Game 1 is at Citizens Bank Park on Saturday, Oct. 4. It will start at 6:08 p.m. if the Red Sox win their AL Wild Card Series Oct. 2 or 6:38 p.m. if the Yankees prevail in Game 3.

All games in the Phillies-Dodgers series will be televised by TBS.
