Sikh jatha will go to Pakistan; Centre has granted approval

Chandigarh, October 2, 2025: According to information from sources and a News18 report, the Modi government has permitted a Sikh jatha to travel to Pakistan.

Earlier, the government had not granted approval for this. In fact, on the occasion of Guru Nanak Sahib Ji’s Parkash Purab, Sikhs were to visit Sri Nankana Sahib in Pakistan, but the Centre had imposed a restriction on this.
