An Ellenbrook family has warned about the dangers of lithium-ion batteries after losing their home to a fire.
Tracey Howard and Levi Cole-Lau woke up to their home being ravaged by a fire last week after leaving a lithium-ion battery charging in their garage.
The family escaped the furious blaze, however, the fire destroyed eight years of memories.
“It’s more than just a home, everything is here, our memories. We all got out safely, which is the main thing, but we could’ve been minutes away from being the total opposite,” Ms Howard said.
The fire also reduced Ms Howard’s dream home salon to ashes.
“I put everything into it — new walls, floors, paint, supplies, stock, everything,” she said.
“I don’t even know where to go from here.”
