Amritsar Police Dismantle Cross-Border Arms & Narcotics Smuggling Network Latest News: In a breakthrough, Amritsar Commissionerate Police has dismantled a cross-border arms & narcotics smuggling network with alleged links to Pakistan, DGP Punjab Police said on Thursday (2 Oct. 2025).

Police have arrested five operatives and recovered 12 Pistols (.30 bore) & 1.5 Kg Heroin.

As per the Preliminary investigation, it has been revealed that the arrested accused, Joban Singh & Jashanpreet Singh, were in direct touch with Pakistan-based smugglers and communicated via social media to receive & deliver arms and narcotics consignments, the DGP Gaurav Yadav said
