Gemma Atkinson has said it was a 'scary time' as she opened up on her daughter's health.

The Hits Radio host has taken to social media to address recent headlines that six-year-old Mia had received an epilepsy diagnosis.

This year, Gemma teamed up with Women's Health magazine for their podcast Just As Well, where she joins Claire Sanderson in talking about motherhood, wellness, and "conversations that actually matter".

During their latest episode, Gemma revealed that Mia, her six-year-old daughter has been diagnosed with epilepsy following absence seizures.

She shared that her daughter was experiencing loss of awareness and zoning out and ended up receiving treatment.
