Manchester synagogue car and stabbing attack leaves at least 2 dead on Yom Kippur

At least two people were killed and several others injured in a savage car and knife attack outside a UK synagogue on Yom Kippur — the holiest day in the Jewish calendar.

The attack unfolded outside the Heaton Park Hebrew Congregation Synagogue in Manchester just after 9:30 a.m. as scores of people were worshipping inside, police said.

Witnesses reported seeing a car plowing into members of the public before a man was stabbed and left lying in a pool of blood outside the synagogue as the carnage unfolded. 5

The madman responsible was quickly shot dead by cops, Greater Manchester Police said.
