Actor Jason Bateman has taken on something a little different for him and that is high-octane action.
The 56-year-old actor, best known for his sharp wit and measured screen presence, is seen sprinting through New York streets and fending off loan sharks in Black Rabbit, Netflix’s new crime thriller.
Surprisingly, Bateman says he didn’t have a strict training regime for the demanding sequences. “No specific training, but lots of stretching,” he admitted at the show’s New York premiere. “Us old-timers need to make sure everything’s loosened up,” he added with a laugh.
The series, created by Zach Baylin and Kate Susman, centres on two brothers. Jude Law plays Jake Friedken, a charismatic bar and restaurant owner, while Bateman plays Vince, his troubled sibling who turns up owing $140,000
