The family of journalist Rajiv Pratap, whose body was recovered from the Joshiada Barrage in Uttarkashi on Sunday, has alleged that he was threatened before his death.

Speaking on the matter, Rajiv’s brother said, “I spoke to my brother a day or two before his phone was switched off. When he was at home, we noticed he was receiving calls. Sometimes, the callers would tell him things like, ‘Delete the video you made,’ or give similar instructions. He always responded directly, without fear; he was not someone who could be easily intimidated.
